Valor Gear Minute: Theodore R. Swartz: Shot down Mig-17 with his A-4 Skyhawk

In 1967, Swartz shot down a Mig-17 fighter with his A-4 attack plane.
Using a Zuni unguided rocket (key word here is unguided) in a pod under the wing, he managed to destroy the Mig. This was the only A-4 aerial kill during the Vietnam war. Swartz received many awards during his service including: Silver Star, 6 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 8 Navy Commendation Medals, 7 Air Medals, and 27 Strike Flight Awards. Valor is in you.
