B-17 Flying Fortress T-shirt
The B-17 Flying Fortress T-shirt embodies the aircraft that entered into WW2 as a premier bomber with longer range and a bigger payload than any other aircraft at the time. Crewed with 10 men, it boasted an impressive defensive armament array of .50 cal machine guns located all over the aircraft. The B-17 Flying Fortress was responsible for the most daylight air-raids over Germany during the war and remains an icon of reliability, firepower and unique design among bombers.
Famous examples of the B-17 Flying Fortress throughout the war include "Memphis Belle" and "Ole' 666" the gunship which had 19 .50 cal machine guns and was a thorn in the side to the Japanese.
