Speaking 12 languages with a Masters from Yale, Booke joined the U.S. Army as a counterintelligence officer. Responsible for gathering information from enemy soldiers and spying out terrain for ambushes, Booke quickly became a needed asset for the war the two years he was involved. As an accomplished actor/musician he landed a Hollywood role as the bad guy Boss Hogg (although he refused to shoot any scenes of drugs or death) for which he was best known. Being a skilled carpenter and took up rebuilding homes for a while, amassing a fortune in wealth.
