Eugene Stoner’s A.R. 15

Eugene Stoner’s invention of the iconic A.R. 15 is the most recognized gun in the world, arguably. This is the Swiss Army knife or Lego of rifles. Easily customizable down to every feature, The A.R. 15 was adopted by the US military in the middle of the Vietnam conflict. It has since become an American icon. Basically a scaled down version of Stoner’s A.R. 10 which used a larger bullet, the A.R. 15 has since been introduced to civilians in a semi automatic form. While not as well recognized as John Browning, Eugene Stoner is a household name for those in the gun community.
