Dakota Meyer: Medal of Honor Recipient Reenlists

Valor is Back
In 2009, Meyer was deployed to Iraq as a Marine Sniper. When his fellow Marines and Iraqi soldiers were ambushed, Meyer mounted a gun truck along with two other marines to rescue them. Under heavy fire and mounting the machine gun himself, Meyer made three trips under heavy enemy fire (at one point he killed an enemy with a rock in hand to hand combat) to save the trapped men. He also recovered the bodies of the fallen Americans killed. He received the Medal of Honor notification while working construction in 2011. He remains the second youngest American to receive this honor at age 21. This brave man and American patriot has recently enlisted in the Marine Reserves to further serve his country. Is Valor really ever retired? No, it is not. Valor is in you. Set it free.
