This F-105 Indian Head T-shirt is a respectful acknowledgement to the iconic Vietnam fighter/bomber with a huge bomb load. Used as a Wild Weasel anti-missile platform, it was key in protecting other fighters of the day. Original art features the Thunder Chief mascot with lightning bolts flying from his head. It began service as a low level nuclear strike aircraft to counter the Soviets but was rapidly transformed into a bomber during the Vietnam War. It could carry as many bombs as a much larger WW2 era bomber like the B-17 or B-24. Used as a Wild Weasel, it became instrumental in later years at suppressing enemy missiles. It's unusually high loss rates led it to be the first fighter removed from combat. Definitely one of the coolest Cold War jets, grab our vision of a massive fighter and icon of Vietnam.
