Billy Waugh: An American Hero Who Never Stopped

Three Wars and Years as a CIA Operative into his 70s
Billy tried to join the Marines in WW2 at age 15 and was denied. He later joined the Army for the war in Korea and directly afterwards joined the Special Forces division and became a Green Beret in Vietnam. Part of the MACV-SOG group, he conducted operations in Vietnam including being shot up so badly, the North Vietnamese stripped him of his clothes and left him for dead. He survived, recovered and got back into the fight. He became an expert at HALO parachute drops including parachuting with a portable nuclear bomb. He retired from the Army in 1972 and worked for the Post Office for a couple years until recruited by the CIA. Working in Libya and Sudan, he gathered intelligence on Bin Laden and Carlos the Jackal although most of his official work is classified. In 2001 at age 70, Billy was tasked with helping to hunt down Bin Laden in Afghanistan at the beginning of the War on Terror. It is unknown how many missions Billy participated in before his death in 2023 at age 93, but one thing is known for sure: Billy Waugh was an American hero without equal and his Valor ageless. Valor is in you. Set it free
