Audie Murphy: WW2 Hero with Every Medal the Army Gives Out

Joined at 16 Years Old, Killed 241 Enemy Soldiers
The story of Audie Murphy is a tale of endurance, courage, will power and an example of how much a man can accomplish if he doesn’t quit. In many of his fights with German soldiers, he took them prisoner or killed them all: ALONE. Ambushed on a patrol in Salearno, he killed five Germans with grenades. In Italy he killed a tank crew and then destroyed their tank with rifle grenades while sick with Malaria. In France, he grabbed a machine gun and killed 6 Germans and took 11 prisoners after they killed his best friend who was accepting their surrender. Wounded in the heel and shot in the hip by a sniper, he killed two snipers and directed the battle with a radio. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for grabbing the 50 cal on a disabled tank destroyer and killing 50 Germans single handedly also being wounded in the effort. Murphy suffered from PTSD and brought awareness to others suffering from it.
He was truly an American Hero and icon. Valor is in you. Set it free.
