Alwyn Cashe: On Fire, Doused in fuel

Alwyn Cashe was a Sanford,Florida native who was killed in Iraq in 2005 saving the lives of his fellow Army soldiers. When an suicide bomber exploded on his Bradley fighting vehicle, fuel began to spray and burn the soldiers inside it including Alwyn. Despite being burned and unable to douse the flames, Alwyn rescued six of his fellow Americans. Having 70%of his body burned Alwyn succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
